The North Face® congratulates Hervé Barmasse, Aosta Valley ambassador at Expo 2015

A key member of The North Face® team of athletes, Hervé Barmasse continues to enjoy an amazing climbing career: born in Aosta Valley, Hervé has followed in the footsteps of his father Marco, a great climber, and has reached some of the most challenging and amazing summits in the world: Pakistan, Patagonia, China and of course, in his homeland!

Herve’s latest achievement has been the first winter enchainment of the four ridges of Matterhorn/Cervino, and 2015 is also the year when the 150th anniversary of first Matterhorn/Cervino summit will be celebrated, so the choice of Hervé in the occasion of Expo 2015 is even more inspired!
