As an ultra-lightweight down layer, the Kabru Light Vest from VAUDE delivers warmth in a vest format – at a weight and pack size of an apple. The premium down fill (90/10 white goose down with certified proof of origin; fill power 650 cubic inches) is packed in a rugged Pertex® Quantum outer material – the lightest – and most robust – nylon material that we use. A light water-repellent DWR treatment with fluorocarbon-free Eco Finish protects the outer fabric from moisture and snow. A specialized stitching pattern in the insulation that becomes narrower towards the bottom creates not only a heat-efficient fit, but also elegant style. Narrow stretch inserts under the arms increase freedom of movement that has been successfully integrated in all VAUDE thermal jackets. Stuffed into its own front pocket, you can pack this down vest along on every tour – in winter as a thermal midlayer, in summer for some quick warmth at the summit.
