The sophisticated Altiplano models have some great functionality hidden behind their charming good looks. In addition to high tech fibers such as PrimaLoft^®, we take full advantage of the benefits of wool for thermoregulation. This natural fiber has always been popular for moderate activities in the winter season. Wool’s hollow structure can store large amounts of moisture, yet always feels dry and comfortable.

Slip in and sense the luxury. The Altiplano Coat is elaborately crafted winter coats made of waterproof 2-layer stretch fabrics for ease of movement and comfort. The secret is in the inner lining with intricately constructed thermal zones.

There are special zones in the shoulder and back areas, in addition to stretch lining, and at the elbows our engineers have helped retain stretch comfort in the outer materials with some sophisticated processing tricks. These features are combined to maintain outstanding wearing comfort in high-output activities.

The jackets are made with 170g PrimaLoft Black Insulation (60% recycled material) which features the highest thermal performance in our Trek & Hike products. At the back and in the kidney areas, a napped lining provides additional warmth with a fine wool blend. This creates comfortable thermal insulation throughout the entire coat.
