Gloves are not easy to build. In 2010 ARC’TERYX invented an entirely new and highly sophisticated way of constructing waterproof gloves to meet the precision and dexterity of the human hand. This winter the Canadian outdoor manufacturer takes it to the next level. By choosing unique, highly hydrophobic and durable materials the result in a dry, warm glove that offers industry-leading levels of fit, dexterity and breathability.

The N333p-X 3L GORE-TEX® on palm and fingers maintain drier and warmer hands by resisting moisture absorption and reduces heat loss through conduction. TPU inserts (Thermoplastic Polyurethane) provide additional moisture absorption, grip and abrasion resistance. Utilizing mapped insulation, the Lithic Glove and Mitten use three kinds of PrimaLoft® synthetic insulations because each part of the hand has different insulation needs. 133g PrimaLoft® Silver and 100g of PrimaLoft® Gold Insulation ECO create warmth over the back of the hands. For superior grip, the palm and fingers have PrimaLoft® Gold insulation Eco with Grip Control Technology – a low-bulk insulation that bonds all of the components together to create one functioning layer, eliminating slippage between the layers and resisting compression. This
“fixed insulation” enhances grip strength and dexterity. To maximize warmth the Lithic features an internal insulated draft tube that created a soft seal around the wrist.

Arc´teryx is still the only outdoor company in the world creating fully-taped Gore-Tex® gloves from 3-layer laminates – real hard shells for hands. The advanced Tri-DexTM technology employs complex three-lobed patterns, where each finger is individually patterned and taped to replicate its unique shape and articulation.

The result is a true anatomical fit that feels natural at rest and moves effortlessly. To guarantee 100% waterproofness, every single glove is individually tested after sewing and taping.
