For Winter 2017/18, Bergans of Norway presents a new premium clothing line that offers active Alpine skiers and freeriders numerous technical innovations and a new functional design. The pinnacle of the design can be seen in the collection’s flagship product, the Hemsedal Hybrid Jacket. A variety of different materials were combined here based on the body mapping principle in order to not only protect skiers from the elements and cold temperatures but also keep them pleasantly warm and allow them to adjust their temperature even in changing conditions – whether they are sitting for a long time on an icy chairlift or making a swift and strenuous descent down a black diamond slope.

With a separation of cold and warm zones, the Hemsedal Hybrid Jacket alternates between isolating and breathable materials: high quality down and PrimaLoft® as well as 3-layer Dermizax® NX ensure weather protection and climate comfort all over the body and provide thermal retention and breathability in just the right areas. As a result, the wearer does not cool down as rapidly and uses less energy to compensate for temperature differences. Joints and other cold-sensitive areas like the neck, shoulders, and arms enjoy the excellent insulating performance of high-quality, RDS-certified goose down. PrimaLoft® Gold Insulation Active protects the less exposed but oftentimes compressed spots like the back from rapid cooling. Areas that are not very sensitive to the cold but still important for controlling body temperature, like the stomach and underarms, are equipped for excellent wicking ability with the 3-layer, highly breathable Dermizax® NX laminate.

The style of the Hemsedal Hybrid Jacket emphasizes the natural lines of the athlete’s body. The emphasis on the shoulders in the men’s model accentuates the masculine form, while the women’s model features a feminine cut that highlights the waistline. The clean-cut design in clear earth tones gives the ski jacket a high-quality premium look.
