It’s always good to keep an eye on what’s in the pipeline for the year ahead. So here, we’ve pulled together the latest cutting edge products to be launched using Polartec fabrics.

Inov8: With innovative Polartec® Alpha® insulation, the men’s AT/C Thermoshell [pictured, black] from Inov8 delivers lightweight, packable warmth with superior breathability. Perfect for running in changeable, cool conditions and through different phases of physical activity Polartec® Alpha® will provide active insulation whilst offering exceptional breathability.

Mammut: The Aconcagua Light ML Jacket [pictured, green] uses Polartec® Power Grid™, a Bluesign approved fabric with UPF 50+.  Thanks to Polartec® Power Grid™ the jacket has superior wicking capabilities and the grid channels reduce weight whilst increasing warmth.  This jacket is fast drying, highly breathable, lightweight with easy care properties making it the ideal mid layer.

Mountain Equipment: Using Polartec’s latest base layer technology – Delta – Mountain Equipment is launching the Izoard short-sleeve Polo top [pictured, blue]. Perfect for trekking in hot climates, this lightweight and superfast drying polo is essential warm weather kit. Polartec® Delta™ uses a combination of natural yarns and synthetic fibres. Cotton offers immediate and long term cooling ability and synthetics deliver fast dry time and reduced wet cling.

Montane: The new Venom Hoodie [men]; Viper Hoodie [women] uses the highly versatile Polartec® Thermal Pro® fabric for lightweight versatility. Delivering a great warmth-to-weight ratio, this mid-weight fleece is fast drying offering superb stretch throughout. Features include articulated sleeves and two brushed micro fleece-lined hand pockets.

Outdoor Research: Another brand to capitalise on Polartec’s latest development in base layer technology, Outdoor Research’s Gauge sleeveless tee [men] and Gauge SS Tee [women] uses Polartec® Delta™. The ultimate top for training in hot climes, this tee is designed to cool as well as cotton and dry like a synthetic fabric thanks to its unique, woven construction.
