Although present for many years, GS1 is still the backbone of digital communication between supply chain partners in order to serve customers in the best way. Markus has been working within Industry Engagement at GS1 for more than 6 years. He has a track record in retail for more than 17 years and before joining GS1 he has been working for several fashion/lifestyle brands and retailers. He holds a Master of Science degree in International Business, specialized in Strategy and Innovation Management, obtained from the University of Maastricht in the Netherlands.
