Adventure Awards Days, the international festival of exploration, is back from the 20th to the 22nd of April 2018 in Arco and in Garda Trentino for it’s seventh edition.
The Adventure Awards Days are first and foremost an opportunity to share a passion: for traveling, for nature, for a different lifestyle. Three days of experiences to live, stories to see and hear, friends to drink a beer with, dreams to imagine and adventures to organize together. Arco and the most suggestive corners of the Garda Trentino area will be the privileged stage of a rich program of events.
The event will begin Friday 20th of April with the selection of the best adventure and exploration films from all over the world, on screen even on the evening of Sunday 22nd. On the stage several guests, such as the Belgian mountaineer and explorer Nico Favresse or the traveler Dino Lazzaretti.
On Saturday night, the Adventure Night with Simone Moro and Emilio Previtali, who will go on stage to tell the “behind the scenes” of their adventures, the commonness of their exceptionality.
During the evening the woman who is the symbol of international environmentalism will be awarded, the ethologist Jane Goodall, known above all for her studies and for the fight in defense of chimpanzees.
Saturday and Sunday, many appointments. On the 21st of April in the morning all on your bikes for the Trentino Bike Adventure, together with the bike travelers Dino Lanzaretti and the Polish Jakub “Kuba” Rybicki: a day to discover the territory, on little known roads and paths and it will end with a midnight toast.
At 4pm the trek will start to arrive at Refuge San Pietro where you can enjoy an aperitif with a view of the lake and the mountains and listen, at sunset, to the concert with the music of Morricone played by a string quartet.
Sunday 22nd, the trail running camp, to run in the woods, with no rush, with the Wild Tee athletes, a travel-blogging workshop with Valentina Miozzo to learn how to tell your journey through blogs and social networks, and a photographic trek with Mirko Sotgiu.
A wooding experience with Valeria Margherita Mosca, to learn about the wild herbs, collect and taste them; and then, for kids and children, a day dedicated to trees, “Wood and air: meeting with the trees”, in collaboration with Selva Urbana and Patagonia, to talk about respect for nature with the little ones.
Guest on Sunday 22nd, Igor D’India, explorer, traveler and documentary filmmaker who followed the footsteps of Walter Bonatti, canoeing in solitary, along 1,400 km in the Yukon River. The village, a reference point for guests and enthusiasts, will also host this year the Worn Wear of Patagonia: a real tailor workshop where new outdoor clothes can be given new life.
The program also includes the third edition of Arco Rock Star, an event in the event: the international climbing photography contest, with important prizes, will involve teams of photographers and athletes, professionals and amateurs, from all over Europe, who will compete on the rocks of Garda Trentino searching for the perfect photo.
