The Ascent Collection is the heart and soul of Arc’teryx: streamlined design, hard wearing and lightweight materials and an anatomical fit that supports the extreme movements required for alpine pursues. The Canadian innovators create holistic systems of apparel, perfectly matching in fit and performance.
New for the S15 season is the combination of Psiphon SL Pullover and Psiphon SL Pants: Lightweight, compact softshells for alpine climbing.
In the Psiphon pullover (available in men’s and women’s version), Arc’teryx uses the new NylazTM Softshell Material from 85% Nylon and 15% elastane, a highly abrasion resistant, windproof, air permeable stretch woven fabric. Weighing in only 290 g and being very packable, this pullover is ideal for multi-pitch routes.
A featherweight, helmet compatible GossameraTM hood offers protection, but can be stowed away with an integrated snap system in windy conditions. The long front zipper cares for quick heat release and the pullover goes on and off quickly.
Built for the same activities, the Psiphon SL Pant is manufactured from CrestaTM woven Nylon with 11 % elastane. It offers full freedom of movement, protection and perfect climbing features: Chalk Bag loop, low profile integrated belt, two zippered front pockets with mesh lining for better air flow, a zippered thigh pocket and two rear pockets. Despite this generous detailing, the Psiphon Pant weighs in a mere 310 g.
Designed specially for alpine-minded women, the new Zoa Hoody offers a perfect fit and mobility, thanks to clever patterning and a high elastane content (16 %). The lightweight Fleece pullover (260 g) has a long front zipper and is perfectly suited for all alpine pursuits from rock- to ice climbing. Long arms with thumb loops and zippered hand warmer pockets offer warmth without weight.
