Bouldering Today – Hardmoves Final

The HardMoves Boulderleague ranks as the biggest bouldering competition worldwide and Black Diamond is one of the main sponsors. In 60 bouldering gyms so far, 7,000 active climbers from 6 different countries have joined the competition, including World Champions, World Cup winners and some of the best boulderers in the world.

At the Superfinal on 5th March 2016 at the Wuppertaler Schwimmoper, 1,600 spectators will cheer on the six best bouldering teams, while only a few metres away the Wuppertaler Stadthalle will accommodate 2,300 bouldering fans for public viewing. The final will be broadcast live in various climbing gyms. For more information, see here.

Black Diamond is represented by very strong climbers like Adam Ondra, Daniel and Markus Jung, Monika Retschi etc. Fans are invited to visit the stand of Five Ten, Bergfreunde and Black Diamond for free beer and a barbecue.

During the ongoing HardMoves Fightclub, Black Diamond accompanied the events online and at several gyms.At the HardMoves Foto Award and the HardMovies Award, many cool prizes were provided, see the BD Microsite for more info http://www.hard-moves.de/contest/.
During the Gym Tour, Five Ten and Black Diamond visited 12 climbing gyms where we talked to athletes, provided products for testing and offered workshops.

According to Black Diamond, gym and crag climbing are closely interlinked and should be considered as a whole in the “Gym to Crag” initiative. Black Diamond has been persistently committed to sustainability and responsible management of the mountains and natural resources, to protecting climbing areas and promoting sensitivity for the nature that surrounds our climbing crags.
