This is an opportunity to take on the challenge of a lifetime, by becoming a crew member on one leg of the famous Clipper Round the World Yacht Race. If you have a passion for life and the will to succeed then you are the sort of person we need. No previous sailing experience is required.

You will train alongside other crew members as you learn the skills necessary to take part in one of the most exciting races on the planet. All you should be prepared for is that your life will change forever!

Thanks to the partnership between Henri-Lloyd and the GORE-TEX® Experience Tour there are two legs you can apply for here:

• LEG 3 – OCTOBER TO NOVEMBER 2013. The Southern Ocean sleigh ride departs from South Africa sailing the Cape of Good Hope and through the Roaring Forties before arriving on the sunkissed beaches of Western Australia.
• LEG 4 – NOVEMBER TO DECEMBER 2013 This leg takes you past another of the three Great Capes, Cape Leeuwin, then through not one, but three oceans as you sail from Western to Eastern Australia. PLEASE NOTE that the application for this leg is exclusively at The Telegraph.
• LEG 5 – DECEMBER TO FEBRUARY 2014. The Asia Pacific Challenge will take you from the heat of a Southern Hemisphere summer into the tropics and across the Equator before arriving in Asia.
