At the seventh edition, the IMS Photo Contest, probably the world’s largest photography competition dedicated to mountain photography, is open to professional and amateur photographers from all over the world.

Few weeks to the deadline to sign up and submit your own shots and take part in the competition. The call of the organising team from Bressanone / South Tyrol has already been followed by many photo enthusiasts. Photos from Italy, Germany and Austria are among the participants, as well as from the Scandinavian countries, the USA or from another 80 countries of the world.

Who will be this year’s winner? There is still time until Thursday 31^st August to take and send photos and participate in the prestigious IMS Photo Contest. The 6 categories of this year: Mountain Nature, Mountain Action, Mountain Water, Mountain Mobile, Mountain Faces and Team Spirit leave plenty of room for the creativity of the participants who can expect prizes for over € 20,000.

From 1^st September, the international jury of ten renowned photographers and image experts will begin the hard work of evaluating the thousands of photos sent. The Award Ceremony takes place on Saturday, 14^th October 2017 at the IMS Photo Night at the International Mountain Summit (IMS) in Bressanone, South Tyrol (Italy).

The world-wide company Picanova, world market leader in the production of wall photo decorations, has become aware of the high quality photos sent so far. For this reason, the company now also offers a goods coupon of 300 Euros for the second place for all categories, in addition to the main gain of € 2,500.

The IMS Photo Contest 2017 is supported by KIKU, Picanova, Alperia and International Mountain Summit. The charity category Team Spirit goes in favor of the Schneetiger project of the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation.
