The European Outdoor Group (EOG) is pleased to announce a superb line-up of activities on offer to all delegates who have registered for this year’s European Outdoor Summit (EOS), which takes place 29th-30th September in Barcelona.
With ‘building outdoor participation’ as one of the key pillars for this year’s Summit, the activities on offer have been selected to tie in with the theme and offer delegates the opportunity to trial Barcelona’s outdoor scene.
Available for delegates to carry out in their free time around the main summit programme, EOS activities include a good mix of options to appeal to all. Activities on offer this year are:
-
Paddle boarding: Take the opportunity to get out into the Mediterranean with this fun and easy activity which is accessible from Barcelona city centre via public transport in around 10 minutes. Free of charge to delegates, there will be two, two-hour paddle boarding sessions held, one on Wednesday 28th at 3pm and the other on Friday 30th at 4pm. SPACES ARE LIMITED with each session having a capacity of 25 people. Full details on booking a paddle boarding session and location will be sent out closer to the time.
-
Climbat Climbing Centre: Europe’s largest climbing wall and only a 20 minute walk from the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Climbat, offers 800m² of scalable surfaces and is a must-try activity while in Barcelona. Climbat is offered as a self-service activity for delegates to do at their leisure and organisers have negotiated a special discounted rate of just €3 per delegate, reduced from €12 per person. Climbing shoes rental will be extra.
-
Self-service runs: These can be done at any time and start from the Crowne Plaza Hotel; handy pocket-sized maps with directions are available in the hotel reception. With three routes of varying length on offer: Blue = 9.6km, Green = 6.8km and Red = 3.2km, the self-service runs are suitable for all abilities and allow delegates to take in the sights of the city. There is also a BARCELONA CORRE APP listed on the map, which provides further details on type of terrain, green areas, fountains and difficulty levels.
Full details on how to take part in the EOS activities will be sent out in due course.
