The HighLab project started in 1994 with the establishment of a research lab having a permanent seat located on Mount Rosa, near Quintino Sella Hut, at 3.585 metres of altitude.

An exclusive and ultramodern lab conceived to test materials and prototypes in the field and in extreme conditions. Since then HighLab represents the future of the outdoor but overall it states Ferrino philosophy: drive oneself wherever nobody else ever reached.

The result is a series of products consistent with the highest quality and functional standards, ensuring high performances in every weather conditions.
The high technological contents and the continuous innovation ensure that t Ferrino products are able to satisfy every type of user, being it a professional or an amateur.
The HighLab located by Quintino Sella hut is open every summer to all mountaineers and trekkers who wish to take part in the tests, thus participating in the development process of Ferrino products.

From the success of the HighLab experience, a few years later the HighLab Pro Team was created, comprising of the most wellknown experts of the mountaineering and outdoor environment. A qualified group of Guide Instructors, Guides, Rescuers and Ski Instructors coming from different Italian regions which operate every day in the Outdoor environment, being it high mountains or rivers down in the valleys.
