A one-of- a- kind event for ice climbing fans will take place from January 16th to the 18th, 2015, in the Serrai di Sottoguda, one of the most enchanting corners of the Dolomites at the base of the Marmolada glacier.
Ice Climbing Meeting is open to everyone, experts as well as neophytes, and international calibre athletes will be attending. Participants will get the chance to test equipment and materials as they take on several mixed and dry tooling itineraries.
It will be three days of pure fun in an atmosphere of rare beauty. The famous Serrai di Sottoguda is in fact a natural gorge about two kilometres long, carved out in limestone rock over millennia by the waters of the Pettorina torrent, which flows between the villages of Sottoguda and Malga Ciapela. In winter the long walls of rock that plunge into the gorge become enchanted frozen waterfalls that can offer more than 300 climbing routes. They are also easy to get to for spectators, who can admire the spectacle of the climbers from a privileged vantage point.
Several collateral events will provide an even more pleasant background for the initiative, making a stay in Marmolada even more enjoyable.

- Saturday 17: test materials (mixed + dry tooling), music and hot spiced wine
- Sunday 18: test materials
