The new Aequilibrium Series boots, the strongest and most famous Italian mountaineers, the most iconic mountains of the Alps: these are the ingredients of the La Sportiva Aequilibrium Mountain Experience series of events, a unique experience to be experienced all in one breath. An idea born from the desire for new adventures, from the desire to enable mountain enthusiasts to personally test the footwear of the Aequilibrium line and experience unforgettable days in the company of their own outdoor myths.
“La Sportiva wants to get closer and closer to the world of high mountain professionals. Now as in the past, the La Sportiva team is also made up of Alpine Guides who help us shape the direction of our products. For the new line of mountain boots Aequilibrium Series, we have developed new technologies that allow Alpine Guides to tire less and have greater safety margins in their work “, said Lorenzo Delladio, President and CEO of the Val di Fiemme company ( Trentino, Dolomites). The name is a declaration of intent: the new Aequilibrium line, the perfect balance between comfort and technicality, lightweight and durability, was created, in fact, precisely to meet the ambitions of modern fast & lightweight mountaineering, to allow you to realize your own vertical dreams, and push yourself beyond any challenge.

The first of the four La Sportiva Aequilibrium Mountain Experience initiatives took place on the 2nd and 3rd of July, in the spectacular setting of Mont Blanc. Leading the group of ‘testers’, which started from the La Sportiva Store in the centre of Courmayeur, was Anna Torretta, the exceptional Alpine Guide, pluri-Italian ice climbing champion and architect.
“So light, comfortable, and versatile, the Aequilibrium boots are recommended both for walking on simple and snow-free routes, and for when you face the glacier and technical terrain”, she said while climbing the via ferrata that leads from Val Veny to the legendary Monzino refuge. ‘The examination’ of the boots then continued on the Brouillard glacier, in the scenario of the integral skyline of Peutèrey.
The event was also an opportunity to celebrate the start of the collaboration between the company from Ziano di Fiemme (Trentino, Dolomites) and the historic Society of Alpine Guides of Courmayeur, the oldest, most numerous and prestigious in the Alps.
The second appointment was held on the 9th and 10th of July, starting from the La Sportiva Store in the historic village of Arco, an international outdoor mecca, and destination the Presanella peak, crossing snow, ice and via ferratas, along steep and rocky terrain, and staying overnight at the Segantini mountain hut, constantly surrounded by fantastic views. Another special guest did the honours: Alessandro Beber, Alpine Guide and top level mountaineer. During this experience too, like all the others in the program, the participants were able to experience unforgettable moments during the workshops with the Alpine Guides and the product specialists of the La Sportiva team.
The third meeting on the 30th and 31st of July had the Marmolada, the Queen of the Dolomites, as an adventure camp. The meeting point was at the La Sportiva Store in Pozza di Fassa, and then proceeded to the Rifugio Capanna Ghiacciaio Marmolada. On the second day Punta Penia was reached, always under the banner of passion for the mountains and under the watchful eye of Francois Cazzanelli, Alpine Guide and leading mountaineer on the Italian and international scene.
