Whether the sun shines or the rain falls, at Marcialonga Craft on 27th May both the athletes who are already sure to face the middle track of 80 km and 1894 meters of difference in height or the long track of 135 km and 3279 meters in height, and the undecided who will make their choice during the race will ride their bicycles without any worry.
The “cold bag” – the new invention of the organizing committee – will allow the athletes to leave their kit and their clothes before the start. The bag will be brought by the organization to the drink station between Predazzo and Moena. After the first 80 km of this twelfth edition of the race, competitors who decide to try the longest distance will have the opportunity to change their clothes in a safe place in case of need, before riding through other exciting Dolomite passes.
The high organizational standard of Marcialonga makes the athletes feel important. Safety first; the road surface is a jewel in the Trentino valleys of Fiemme and Fassa, every crossroad is controlled thanks to the contribution of volunteers, a real trademark of Marcialonga from the winter ski-marathon to the September run and the Marcialonga Craft dedicated to cyclists, not to mention the six sponsors of the cooperation.
Here are some services: drinking points, mechanical and health assistance along the way after a good coffee directly on the starting line and an experienced staff of masseurs after the finish line where athletes can get their muscles regenerated leaving their bicycle in the storage facility.
At the pasta party, athletes can enjoy lunch with a member of their family or a friend, thanks to two free meal vouchers offered by the organizing committee (menu for coeliac people upon request by sending an email to info@marcialonga.it until Thursday, May 24).
Moreover, athletes will receive a sumptuous race pack including: Craft Sportswear sweatshirt, Felicetti pasta, Trentingrana parmesan cheese, Enervit gel and water bottle, Sorgenia neck warmer, Recoaro water, Ozone cream, WD-40 bike lubricant, in order to start ready more than ever.
