Full-day workshop focusing on training, techniques and tactics – including a Marmot climbing outfit.
The Marmot Frankenjura Climbing Festival is taking place for the second time from 26th-29th May in Königstein, Germany. Following its successful premiere in 2012, this year there is an extra special highlight: the chance to win a personal coaching session with top Swedish climber Matilda Söderlund. The winner of the coaching session will be drawn in the run-up of the Festival from a list of all those interested, so with a little luck, you could soon be grabbing some expert tips on climbing training, techniques and tactics!
The winner will have the opportunity to spend a day at one of the Frankenjura’s many crags during the Festival, working intensively on climbing technique and tactics and benefitting from Matilda’s training expertise. The prize also includes a brand new set of Marmot climbing apparel, so you’ll look awesome at the crag alongside Matilda! All details, including terms and conditions, can be found here: www.marmot.de/matilda.
Matilda Söderlund has been at the top of global female sport climbing for many years. Alongside her successes in national and international competitions – including a 6th place in the 2013 World Championships – she has also made a name for herself through numerous hard ascents on rock. In 2012, she redpointed “Odd Fellows” 8c in the Frankenjura after just four attempts. She has also onsighted multiple 8b routes, and flashed “Friends like you” 8b+ (also in Frankenjura). The highlight of her tick list, however, has to be her redpoint of “Pati noso” 8c+ in Siurana (Spain).
