As part of its mountainwear range, Ortovox has put its sheep on a strict diet and presents the Naked Sheep collection. The naked sheep is light on mountain expeditions, but in no way lacks protection. One member of the herd is the Swisswool Piz Roseg Jacket– it stands for the perfect combination of lightness and zonal insulation. The first waterproof Swisswool® Jacket, our 2l swisswool provides warmth. When it comes to backpacks, Ortovox has also taken every gram into account. The ultra-light and technical ascent is the perfect companion for demanding ski tours.

Ortovox ‘s success story in the avalanche emergency equipment department has only been made possible by maintaining high standards. This winter, continuous improvement can be seen in particular in the probes and shoveling segment. In addition to the optimized quick-assembly strap for immediate opening and assembly, the Ortovox avalanche probes have been perfected in every detail and have been equipped with a new visual guide system – for even quicker actions in case of emergency.

Ortovox has also further improved the Kodiak professional shovel in many aspects, and it is now more compact and even more functional.

AVALANCHE PROBES: BE QUICKER
In an emergency situation, every second counts. That’s why ORTOVOX has made its avalanche probes even more efficient and intuitive. The quick-assembly strap makes immediate opening and assembly possible in one motion, now straight out of the probe cover. And thanks to the optimized PFA system, the probes are now even more compact and easier to pack. The new visual guide system also provides you with quick and clear information about the victim’s depth. Shoveling strategies can be perfectly adapted thanks to the 1m marker, the contrasting depth scale and the colorful end segments.

AVALANCHE SHOVELS: DOWN TO THE SMALLEST DETAIL
All ORTOVOX products are shaped by the Taufkirchen based company’s alpine origin. Products are made even more perfect down to the smallest detail thanks to constant checks, improvements and optimization. For the 17/18 winter season, ORTOVOX has given the complete range a uniform color scheme and has substantially revamped the KODIAK:  Worth highlighting is the more compact pack size of the handle without compromising working length, as well as the flatter blade design that is now ideally suited for carving snow profiles. ORTOVOX has retained triedand-tested functions like the Easy Plug clearing function.

ASCENT 32: THE NEW SKI TOUR LIGHTNESS
Every detail carefully considered: The ASCENT provides ultra-light and technical reinforcement to the ORTOVOX range of ski tour backpacks. The new SKI TOUR BACKPACK has been scaled down to the most important features and therefore made for those who love long, demanding days in the mountains. The 850 gram ASCENT 32 has a rope attachment, an ice axe holder, and side and diagonal ski attachments. The circumferential front zipper provides quick access to equipment. In the upper compartment there is space for your cell phone, keys and small items.

MOUNTAINWEAR: SCALED DOWN TO FUNCTION
The naked sheep loves the feeling of unlimited freedom. No heart rate monitor, no records. Instead, it seeks those important moments that are far away from the hustle and bustle. The naked sheep is light on expeditions but never takes risks. Like in the new collection, function and protection are his main focus. It’s the only way that the naked sheep can adapt to conditions.

SWISSWOOL PIZ ROSEG JACKET: ROBUST AND LIGHT
The naked sheep is fast on the move. Insulation is therefore only necessary for certain parts of the body: The PIZ ROSEG JACKET is the perfect combination of Lightness and zonal insulation. The SWISSWOOL® lining on the front (60g/m²) is super light, but keeps the naked sheep warm in cold weather conditions or during windy descents. The Swiss wool is protected by highly breathable micro ripstop polyamide fabric from Toray. The fleece light material in the arm and back area ensures the necessary freedom of movement for the ambitious light sheep. Tasmanian merino wool on the inside provides a pleasant body climate – even during demanding climbs.

2L SWISSWOOL LEONE JACKET: AT HOME IN THE HARSH HIGH MOUNTAINS

The first waterproof swisswool jacket: Ortovox knows how cold and uncomfortable the winter months in the harsh high mountains can be. That’s reason enough to wrap the warming Swiss wool in waterproof, protective material. The 60g/m² SWISSWOOL® lining keeps you warm; the high-performance DERMIZAX DT keeps out wind and water with minimum weight. The 3-layered DERMIZAX NX membrane inserts ensure even more satbility and Robus Tness.
