The South German mountain sports expert is committed to a new product concept boasting a modern design language and outstanding materials: a combination of wool and down takes Ortovox’s long tradition in wool processing into the future. By using functional materials made from recycled textiles, emissions should be minimized and an industry-specific textile cycle created.

Winter 2025/26 at Ortovox is all about freeriding. “Our goal is to create a clear, streamlined collection structure that’s reduced to the bare essentials. Our RAVINE series is the new head of our freeriding family – broken down into coherent lines that are easy for the customer to understand and are tailored to the needs of freeriders,” says Michael Sieber, Director Product and Deputy Managing Director, summarizing the new collection.

The materials used for the new products also embody the mountain sports expert’s pioneering spirit. Reflecting on a long tradition of wool processing, two new concepts will be presented for winter 2025/26: “METAWOOL is a high-quality filling material made from southern German merino wool, while DownWool® by Grüezi bag® combines the thermal performance of down with the temperature regulating properties of wool. Ortovox is once again underlining its leading role in developing highly functional products with natural fibers,” explains Christine Brien, Head of Material Management.
