Since July 2016, ORTOVOX has been member of the Fair Wear Foundation and partner for Sustainable Textiles. With those partnerships, ORTOVOX wants to improve working conditions in the clothing industry across the globe by focusing on sustainable management. With the first social report finished, ORTOVOX wants to inform their consumers about all of this information. Because it is important to us, to our livelihood, to the planet, and to the environment we hold so dear. So with that, ORTOVOX is willing to reveal their status with authentic transparency.

SWISSWOOL: FAIR. SUSTAINABLE. REGIONAL.

Since 2011, ORTOVOX introduced the first SWISSWOOL® products and has focused on regional products, short transportation routes, and a main production lined based in Europe. Swiss wool is characterized by its unbelievable functionality as well  as  sustainable production and processing performance.
SWISSWOOL® comes from the harsh mountainous landscape of the SWISS ALPS, where over 400,000 Swiss mountain sheep have found an almost unlimited habitat. The functional wool of these sheep is a true testament to the herd’s natural environment while the use of SWISSWOOL® ensures the TRADITION and old HANDICRAFT of the local farmers remains intact and a critical piece in the company’s heritage story. Compared to down, SWISSWOOL® warms even when wet while also, dries quickly, and is known for providing a comfortable microclimate.

In addition, the sheep can enjoy expansive space to roam in their natural habitat. And compared to other material, SWISSWOOL® makes use of its NATURAL RESOURCES.
