PrimaLoft, Inc., the world leader in providing comfort solutions with high-performance insulations and fabrics, announces a continuation of its growth geographically with the opening of its new Asian headquarter, effective June 2015. The new office, a wholly-owned subsidiary of PrimaLoft, is located in Xiamen, China and includes customer service and technical support departments, as well as a quality control lab. Boris Lu, with almost 15 years of supply chain experience, will manage the office as operations manager – Asia.
Located between the important key destinations of Hong Kong and Shanghai, Xiamen offers excellent transport links, including air, sea and rail. Furthermore the textile sector is well established, among other industries in this busy port city.
As operations manager – Asia, Boris Lu is responsible for the overall operations of the office and subsidiary in China, for HR, assisting in supply chain management, technical and quality control aspects of the business in Asia while managing the daily functions of the new office. Boris Lu reports to Vanessa Mason, director of engineering technologies PrimaLoft. He works closely with the entire management staff in executing company-wide strategies, as well as with Jochen Lagemann, managing director – Europe & Asia, to further establish and maintain relationships with Asian brand partners to advance growth in the area with the established Asian sales team.
Boris Lu joins PrimaLoft from Albany International, where he served as global commodity manager for six years. Prior to this, Lu worked as sourcing manager for Katun Corporation and held multiple positions in supply chain management at Kodak.
