PrimaLoft’s Retailer Coat Swap a Huge Success! Charity “St. Bonifaz” Benefits from Dealer Campaign

Back in February at the ISPO trade show, PrimaLoft, the world leader in providing comfort solutions with high-performance insulations and fabrics, invited dealers from all over Europe to swap their slightly used winter jackets for a new PrimaLoft® Gold Insulation Down Blend jacket. The company then donated the used coats to the homeless charity run by Munich’s St. Bonifaz abbey, in the city where ISPO trade show is located.

PrimaLoft can now reveal that a grand total of 300 jackets and coats were collected, providing warmth for homeless people in the Munich area. In addition to donating to this excellent cause, the swap campaign also enabled dealers to try out the new PrimaLoft® Performance Down Blend products before they go on sale this autumn in their stores.

Well-known dealers such as Sport Schuster (D), Globetrotter (D), Bergzeit (D), Intersport (AT), Hervis (AT), Sportler (IT), Snowleader (FR), Snow & Rock (UK), Naturkompaniet (SWE), 8a.pl (PL), to name a few, were keen to participate in the successful campaign at the show. “It was a fantastic initiative designed to combine a good cause with the opportunity to experience the high-performance functionality of PrimaLoft® Performance Down Blend. According to Brother Prior Emmanuel Rotter from the St. Bonifaz homeless charity, around 200 homeless people a day contact him to ask for help and assistance in the form of medical care, food, clothing, etc. Brother Emmanuel was delighted by the donations and expressed his gratitude for the number of people who took part. “Saint Benedict, in his rule, says that all guests who present themselves are to be welcomed as Christ. And for us, these people are our guests. We want to give them back a little bit of home, warmth and value and our guests have shown true appreciation for their coats.” 

The patented PrimaLoft® Performance Down Blend hybrid insulation comprises permanently water-resistant, ultra-fine PrimaLoft® fibres and water-resistant, fluorocarbon-free premium down.
