With its latest technical midlayers, outdoor specialist VAUDE has hit the jackpot when it comes to thermal regulation. As a fleece jacket or half zip, the southern Germans are presenting two variants of the new functional material, PowerWool,™ from the American specialists Polartec®. The specific advantages of wool and synthetic fibers are sustainabily and innovatively combined.
PowerWool™ is Polartec’s latest development, a highly insulating functional fabric for thermal regulation. With its sophisticated bi-component construction, it combines the natural benefits of merino wool with the quick-drying properties of synthetic fibers. A unique technology combines two layers into one – wool inside, synthetic outside – in an unparalleled mix of functions. Whether active mountaineering and ski touring or cozy lazing around base camp – if you’re warm, dry and comfortable, you’ll feel all around better off.
Lory Jacket
Truly recommended for alpine use, this sporty fleece jacket features a combination of Polartec® Powerstrech™ Pro and Merino. The innovative material mix of wool inside and a robust and smooth polyamide elastane lining is super stretchy and combines the respective advantages of natural and synthetic fibers. The merino wool wicks away moisture, resists odor and regulates body temperature. The outer polyamide fibers are resilient and dry quickly. Wool is also a renewable resource and conserves fossil resources.
