Climate – neutral, lightweight and comfortable.

Ortovox is sending out a clear signal with its new ski touring collection for winter 2022/23: as the entire winter collection, these products are climate-neutral. The collection focuses upon lightweight, highly technical products that provide ski tourers comfort and protection for all weather conditions. One highlight is the Col Becchei Hybrid jacket, which cleverly combines natural and synthetic fibers to get the best of both worlds. By using wool from the Swiss Swisswool initiative, Ortovox supports regional economies in Switzerland, the farmers who work there and the conservation of alpine landscapes. Swisswool is always used as an insulation material, whereas Tasmanian merino wool is used in areas that lie directly on the skin.

Col Becchei Hybrid Jacket.

A Jack of all trades: the Swisswool Col Becchei Hybrid Jacket is ideal for ascents on bitingly cold, windy days. It provides optimum protection against wind and cold while featuring an athletic cut that does not limit movement. It is a clever combination of natural and synthetic fibers that makes this jacket so functional.
Quilted, elastic, wind- and water-resistant Tec Stretch material is used as the outer fabric of this lightweight insulated jacket. Insulation inserts made using 60 g Swisswool have been set into the front and the upper arms. The Merino Naturetech Light inserts in the hood, sleeves and waist are extremely breathable and elastic yet wind-resistant. Tasmanian merino wool on the inside guarantees optimum climate regulation and a high degree of comfort. In addition to its many comfort features, this jacket is also technically fully equipped: the elasticated hood fits under any helmet, two backpack-compatible front pockets provide enough room for small items and the underarm zippers allow the wearer to adjust the level of insulation. As with the rest of the Col Becchei Line, the Col Becchei Hybrid Jacket is PFC-free and climate-neutral.
