An “eagle’s nest” laboratory, at the gates of heaven. Because up there, at 3585 metres on the Valle d’Aosta side of Monte Rosa, is the ideal habitat for climbers to get to grips with: a flurry of ultraviolet rays, shaken up by the polar temperatures and icy, biting winds. These extreme natural conditions are impossible to create artificially, even in the most modern factory setting.
