Three different models and three different ways of approaching the outdoors, condensed into one shoe line named “multifunction”. Approach, Mountaineering and Mountain Running blend together and create the new La Sportiva Traverse X line.
“to traverse across”
An expression that, in typical outdoor jargon, may indicate either the approach route to a wall, a crossing over mixed terrain or a technical passage in off-road racing.
An expression that becomes a concept with the development of a line that makes transition its focal point: Traverse X, brings together three very different ways of enjoying the outdoors by uniting in its products features borrowed from climbing, mountaineering and mountain running. The pillars of La Sportiva’s philosophy pour their best qualities into a multifunctional series, able to accommodate the needs of those who, from the city to the climbing wall, do not intend giving up comfort, technical performance and lightweight.
A concept that takes shape through three distinct models, different in weight and materials but similar in design, lacing system, grip and comfort fit.
TX2, is the lightest technical approach shoe in the Traverse X range. The ideal choice for longer routes, allowing you to hook the pair quickly and compactly onto the harness, while every detail is designed to guarantee lightweight, grip, comfort and protection during the approach phase. The essential design and the seamless construction of the uppers make TX2 the perfect combination of a trail running shoe and climbing shoe.
TX3, on the other hand, is the middle range shoe, the ideal combination of protection, lightweight and breathability thanks to the PU Tech Lite rand, the rubber toe-cap and the “built to last” uppers in mesh fabric. Designed for technical walking and multi-function use on mixed mountain terrain, it is ideal for quick approach routes. A compromise between the lightest weight model and the strongest one, the model was also awarded with the footwear industry award at OutDoor 2015.
TX4, the ultimate piece of equipment designed for technical approach routes and via ferrata. Perfect for extended use in tough conditions, the model has been tested in the Dolomites by guides and those who work in the mountains. TX4 is the toughest model, built to last over time thanks to the STB Control System ™ construction system that provides structure and torsional stability. The lacing system derives from the classical climbing model Mythos, where volume and tension can be regulated in just one motion.
Traverse X is the ultimate expression of moving in the mountains according to La Sportiva: comfortably, quickly and safely.
