OIA is very pleased to announce the winners of the UK Outdoor Industry Awards 2025, which were presented yesterday at the 2025 OIA Conference at Shrigley Hall Hotel, Cheshire.
The award product range was split across ten categories: Accessories, Backpacks/Luggage, Camping Equipment, Climbing Equipment, Clothing, Footwear, Sleeping, Sustainability, Tech Accessories, and Tents, with a ‘Product of the Year’ being awarded to the overall outstanding product.
The awards process started at the 2024 Outdoor Trade Show (OTS) held in Liverpool in June, where a judging panel, made up of experts from the outdoor industry as well as key journalists and retailers, selected the finalists in each category.
The judging panel comprised: Adele Souster, Head of Planning, JD Outdoor; Cat Ellis, Editor, Advnture; Cath Casey, Director, The Climbers Shop & Joe Brown Shops; Chris Haslam, Freelance Journalist and Contributing Editor, Wired; Chris Townsend, Gear Editor, TGO; Lawrie Kemp, General Manager, Nevisport; Nat Jackson, New Business Lead, Outward Bound Trust; Tom Cain, Buyer – Outdoor, Sportshoes.com.
OIA is also grateful to our partners, who helped spread the word to outdoor enthusiasts: Kendal Mountain Festival, Ellis Brigham Mountain Sports, The Outdoor Trade Show, Camping And Caravanning Club, Youth Hostel Association, and Outdoor Insight.
The judges selected the finalists based on a range of criteria, including innovation, functionality, choice of materials, environmental friendliness, safety and commercial viability. Those finalists were then put forward to a consumer vote online between November 2024 and February 2025, with more than 1100 consumers casting their votes.
The winners across the ten categories are as follows:

- Camping Equipment: Jetboil Genesis Basecamp System Isobutane
- Climbing Product: DMM Cortex
- Clothing: Rab Phantom Jacket
- Footwear: Adidas Terrex SKYCHASER GORE-TEX
- Sleeping: Therm-a-Rest NeoLoft Mattress
- Sustainability: Exped Storage Collection
- Tech Accessories: OS Maps
- Tents & Awnings: Vango Exedra 200.
From these ten winning products, the panel of expert judges selected the overall ‘Product of the Year‘, which has been awarded to the Rab Veil XP 30.
