For the Summer 2014 Season, VAUDE is presenting fresh new lightweight shirts made from Polartec® Power Dry® with an anti-bacterial and anti-odor finish. Optimal moisture management, fast drying time, a hygienic and comfortable microclimate and high UV protection promise more performance on your next tour.  

High performance athletes demand a lot from their bodies – and their clothing shouldn’t drag them down. In the summer it is easy to break into a sweat; today’s performance textiles offer a tremendous advantage over classic cotton tees. Wicking moisture quickly outward is important in helping your clothing dry quickly and keeping it smelling fresh on longer tours. In the mountains, you need a higher degree of protection from the sun’s harmful rays due to increased UV radiation. Modern high-tech fabrics such as Polartec® Power Dry® as well as innovative gear combines a variety of functional properties to provide improved comfort – and not just for athletes. The Endurance Pro

For women and men on the move, VAUDE offers the Roseg Shirt in a tee version or as a practical half-zip. Thanks to Polartec® Power Dry® it is soft and comfortable against your skin and is very stretchy. The high-tech fabric’s patented two-component knit wicks moisture efficiently outward where it can dry quickly. So your skin stays dry, you don’t over cool and you don’t end up with sweat stains. Even with a pack on your back, moisture is transported efficiently. The anti-bacterial and nature-identical silver salt finish has active enzymes to prevent unpleasant odors, stopping bacterial growth. This means the shirt doesn’t have to be washed as often. Another plus for the environment: recycled polyester is partially used in the half-zip model. An ideal shirt for refreshing alpine tours.

 

Polartec® Power Dry® fabrics are designed to keep the skin dry as body perspiration increases. All fabrics in this series feature a patented, bi-component knit construction that uses different yarns on either side of the fabric. This creates two difference surfaces: one that is optimized to move moisture away from the skin, the other to dry quickly. Polartec® Power Dry® fabric moves 30 percent more moisture away from the skin than single component fabrics.

 

The Mountain Runner

Performance oriented mountain freaks have something to celebrate with the Cassons Shirt. For women, VAUDE designed the Women’s Cassons Shirt as a stylish round neck shirt with contrast stitching and a feminine cut, also available as a sleeveless version (Women’s Cassons SL Shirt). Flatlock seams and contrasting inserts lend a very technical and sporty design. The bluesign® certified fabric made of 100% polyester wicks moisture quickly away from your skin to keep you dry and comfortable. This high-stretch shirt follows your every move, while a high UV protection factor (UVP 25) protects your skin from harmful UV radiation and the Anti-Odor Finish prevents unpleasant odors. For men, the Men’s Cassons Shirt has a standup collar and longer front zip.

 

The Environmental Friend

For the stylishly designed Ducan Shirt, VAUDE has chosen a particularly sophisticated and fast-drying fabric. The special properties of the structured fabric-blend made from 71% recycled polyester fabric and with polypropylene on the inside really show their benefits in hot summer weather – or rather don’t show anything at all, because sweat moisture is wicked outward by the hydrophobic fibers where it can evaporate. The results: no sweat stains and a comfortable fit. Something worth looking at, as well as the sophisticated cut with color contrasting zip pockets on the chest.

The Rejuvenator

In the Gleann Shirt, VAUDE is using ancient knowledge about the therapeutic properties of certain minerals and their ability to reflect back FIRs (far infrared radiation). The Gleann is a modern trekking shirt with a Schoeller® energear™ print to increase performance and well being. A titan mineral matrix incorporated in the print ensures that the heat radiated by the body is reflected back to the wearer. This promotes blood circulation, prevents premature fatigue and leads to improved regeneration. The t-shirt is extremely soft, very stretchy and feels as comfortable as cotton but is made with elasthane content from fast drying polyester fabric, and of course is bluesign® certified. This shirt also offers extremely high UV protection with a UPF of 40.
