Companies from around the world that are distinguished by bold corporate management were honored in the “Boldness in Business Awards 2015”. Outdoor brand VAUDE from Tettnang/Germany was nominated for its sustainable business approach in the category “Corporate Responsibility / Environment”. The prize is awarded by the Financial Times and ArcelorMittal, the world’s leading steel and mining company. Antje von Dewitz, VAUDE CEO, attended the awards ceremony on March 19th in London: “It is a great honor and a great recognition in a global environment to be among the top 6 companies nominated in this category.”
The “Boldness in Business Award” was awarded for the seventh time. The editorial team of the Financial Times in the respective countries recommended more than 300 candidates from Europe, North and South America, the Middle East and the Asia-Pacific region for one of seven categories. A distinguished international jury first nominated from this group six companies per category, including VAUDE. At the awards ceremony in London a prize winner in each category was announced. The nominees received a certificate. Nominated and honored were those companies that displayed boldness in thinking and planning long term, that faced the changes posed by a rapidly changing world, and that established sustainable corporate management. In today’s volatile and unpredictable environment, the need for business to act boldly is greater than ever before.
