Accomodation and Travelling to EOS

venueThe venue for this year’s EOS, the Crowne Plaza Hotel offers excellent meeting and conferencing facilities and is only 25 minutes from Barcelona’s International Airport and a short walk from the underground station Espanya, which allows quick and easy access to the attractions of Barcelona city centre and the famous Las Ramblas.

This year there is the option to book accommodation at the Crowne Plaza. However, rooms at the venue are limited and will have to be booked at the same time as the delegate place.

* The accommodation rate does not include the tourist city tax. The €1.21 including VAT per person per night, as well as any extras charged to your room, will have to be settled on departure.

TRAVELLING TO THE EOS: Barcelona is an easy to reach destination with frequent flights in and out of the city airport, plus regular trains services. Here are some options to plan your journey:

Travelling by plane: Barcelona El Prat Airport to Crowne Plaza Hotel

  • Aerobus – one-way – 5.90€ – return 10.20€ (30 minutes) Rack for luggage and free WIFI – Stop at Plaça Espanya and walk 5 minutes to the hotel (directions as per walking from the underground)

  • Taxi – one-way – 25-30€ (25 minutes)

  • Car – 12 km – Take the motorway, direction Castelldefels (C-31) towards Barcelona Plaça Espanya. Turn right onto Avinguda María Cristina. Drive up the road to the Palau Nacional. Turn left onto Avinguda Rius i Taulet and follow until Carrer Lleida. The hotel is right on the corner. Car parking is available at the hotel for 18€ per day. The car park is directly under the hotel with direct access to the hotel lobby and accessible 24h.

Travelling by train: Arriving at Barcelona Sants Estació to Crowne Plaza Hotel

  • Taxi – one-way – 10.00€

  • Walking (2.5km) – Head northwest of the Passeig Sant Antoni towards the Plaça dels Països Catalans. Turn right towards Plaça dels Països Catalans. Turn right onto Carrer Tarragona. At the roundabout take the third exit onto Avinguda María Cristina. Turn left onto Avinguda Rius i Taulet. The hotel is just on the right.

Travelling by metro: Arriving at Espanya stop to Crowne Plaza Hotel

  • Metro station: Espanya (L1 and L3), distance from hotel 0.1km. From Plaça de Espanya head down the Avinguda Maria Cristina to the Palau Nacional. From there, turn left onto Avinguda Rius i Taulet. The hotel is right on the corner of Carrer Lleida.
