Marmot PROs Katharina Saurwein (AT) and Jorg Verhoeven (NL) are well known for their hard ascents in bouldering and climbing as well as for their accomplishments as competition climbers. After getting married in July 2015, they travelled to Australia to combine their honeymoon with ticking some boxes of their personal climbing “lifelist”.
As part of their trip they visited the Grampian Mountains of Australia to sample some of the best bouldering and sport climbs in the world. Besides climbing the Grampians “BIG 4” – four hard and iconic boulder problems or routes – Katha and Jorg also visited Tasmania, the spot with the best sea stack rock formations in the world where they successfully ticked the Tasmania “lifelist” box.
The trip will has been documented in a breath-taking video series. Five teaser clips show Katha’s and Jorg’s stunning experiences as well as their favorite ascents. All images and clips are produced by US-film maker Jon Glassberg / Louder Than Eleven (www.lt11.com), a climber himself and thus a profound connoisseur of the climbing scene. From February 22 until the beginning of March, the short clips will be released piece by piece at http://www.marmot.de/microsites/wgyl_prostory_kathajorg/index_en.php. The premiere of the full video will take place during the famous film festival “Filmfest St. Anton” on August 26, 2016.
